Moisturize with STEAMCREAM #Review

Disclaimer:  I was given the products in this post for the purpose of a review.
I was not paid in any way to write this review.
All opinions are my own.

It's winter and while I love seeing the snow and everything that winter entails, it also means that my skin gets drier. I don't like having dry skin but I also don't like having my skin feeling greasy either. I want a blend between them both. Mommy was recently contacted by STEAMCREAM in order to write an honest review. For those of you who are new to my blog, before mommy does a review, I have to be able to use it. After all this blog is all about me. Mommy did her research and found out that not only was STEAMCREAM great for adults but it is also great for little ones like me. Yes babies can use STEAMCREAM as well. Finally a product that was not only great for me but for mommies and daddies as well. They do too after all get dry skin.

For those who don't know what STEAMCREAM is let me tell you a bit about them. STEAMCREAM is a handmade cream made in the UK and Japan with fresh, traceable ingredients. They use a unique steam process because it makes a naturally effective, lightweight emulsion that your skin can absorb. Since most creams are made with complex molecules they usually just sit on the skin's surface. STEAMCREAM's unique steam process makes their cream much more effective on the skin. Your skin feels intensively moisturized and softer much longer.

They use natural ingredients such as orange flower water, oatmeal and vegetable glycerine to hydrate your skin. Almond and jojoba oils, with moisturizing cocoa butter, soften the skin's surface.

STEAMCREAM has won awards such as the 2010 CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) award for the Best New Everyday Skincare Product. Winning the accolade of Beauty Insider's Choice.

Before I truly go into the review of the cream itself, let me talk a bit about the tins. According to mommy, if STEAMCREAM hadn't contacted her she would have gotten one herself, even if it was just to collect the tin. The tins are absolutely adorable. When I'm done with the tin I can also reuse it. They are surely a collectible item. Here is just a few of the designs that are available.

It was difficult choosing which of the tins we wanted to get. They were all lovely but mommy and I decided on the Babou. Babou is a sweet little poodle puppy who lives in a Marrakech riadh, a haven of peace behind the narrow bustling pathways. She's named after Morrocan slippers, babouches, because she loves to play with them. I love how every tin has a little story behind it. Makes it even more special.

Now on to my review of the cream itself. When mommy opened the tin I noticed that it had a very light citrusy scent, almost like oranges. It wasn't overpowering at all, nothing to make you nauseated like some creams do. The cream itself isn't too thick but it does have a nice consistency to it. It also doesn't feel greasy which I thought it would since according to STEAMCREAM, it's supposed to be moisturizing. When I think of moisture I think of that greasy feel which this doesn't have at all. It really does absorb in the skin very nicely and left my hands feeling very smooth and also smelling very nice. Mommy had to take the tin away because I kept dipping into it trying to get more. I am in love with STEAMCREAM and can't wait to get another. Mommy and I have already seen quite a few tins that we want to collect. Sure we love the cream but we also love the collectible tins. Each tin contains 75ml or 2.5oz of lotion. Not a lot but because you don't need a lot it will last a very long time.

Now each of these adorable tins cost $20 and can be purchased on the STEAMCREAM website. The great thing about this is that delivery is free worldwide. How awesome is that! Now you can purchase for yourself and friends without having to worry about shipping. STEAMCREAM gets my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!

  1. I just read where little kids lose moisture faster than adults, so this Steam Cream would work well for them, plus the tins are great and can be used for so many things after.

  4. Thank you for letting us know that this can be shipped for free to the US--it is usually the shipping charge that will prevent me from buying from other countries. This moisture cream sounds really good-I also dislike a greasy feel and the fact that it absorbs quickly is a big plus in my book.

  5. The tins are what would win me over for sure. They're completely adorable! Also, if there's a greasy feel to a lotion, I'm not interested no matter how wonderfully it works. Good to know this doesn't have that.
