Meet the Dooodolls! Review

Disclosure: I received Dooodolls for review purposes. No other compensation was received. Though the product was free, opinions are 100% my very own.

You may have heard of the
Ugly Doll craze that was very rampant around 2006-2008. My big sister had quite
a few of them and took them everywhere with her. They were dolls but they were
ugly, well not really ugly, ok I admit, they were ugly but they were oh so
adorable as well. When my sister saw these she said, “Are those new ugly
dolls? Those look so much nicer.” that was my hint to not only get one but
to share them with you as well. Welcome to the wonderful world of Dooodolls! The Dooodolls brand is growing in leaps and bounds and available in parts of Asia, Europe and now – in the
United States, and of course right here on Growing Up Madison.

  • Dooodolls have grown
their product range above and beyond expectation, and every care is placed to
ensure each product is skillfully made to perfection. With more than 24
different character designs (and more to be introduced), each of them is
uniquely named and boasts an even more unique character. They do nonetheless,
share a few common traits – they are all adorable and friendly, but ever-so-slightly
naughty and mischievous. Just don’t take them too seriously.

Dooodolls are the next big thing at least for me they are and once
you get to know them you will start thinking like me too. They are more than
just dolls they are collectibles. Made from super softlon, they are very very
soft to touch and also huggable. Who wouldn’t want to hug one of these things?

Right now they are available in sizes 12 – 24 inches in height and
price range you ask? The 12″ is $19.99, while the 24″ is $44.99. They
are also machine washable. I know I don’t like lugging around a dirty toy, so
having a plush that is machine washable is always a top priority for me and
mommy. Now don’t worry about anything harming your little one. While these
plush are recommended for ages 36 months and up, there are actually no small
parts that can be removed making them suitable for even younger. And here’s a
bonus for you: They are all CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement act)
tested and have met the standards.

Mommy and I were sent, left to right, Pinkie Pirate, Ninja,
Cupido, Drooolie and Missy Micey. Pinkie Pirate and Missy Micey are both
24″ while the others are all 12″. As you can see they are fairly big
in size. These aren’t tiny plush toys. No, no, no! These are all toys that your
little one can grab with both hands and walk around the house with.

Each Dooodoll comes with a book attached to his arm telling you a
bit about himself. It also tells you a bit about his other buddies as well. For
example in the photo above that is Cupido. Cupido is a Pisces and can make two
people fall in love with a single beat of his heart. Cupido is perfect for
Valentines Day don’t you think? With Valentines Day coming up, how about
getting Cupido and Cupipi (his girlfriend) and bringing them into your
household, for that special someone?

I am really enjoying
playing around with my Dooodolls and now they line my bed and mommy’s couch as
well. I’m always walking around with the house with at least one of them. They
are truly unique and a collectors dream. I can certainly see Dooodolls becoming
the next big thing. My sister does have a suggestion, how about making ones
that can attach on backpacks and diaper bags? Now that would be cool don’t you
think? Dooodolls gets myTWO TINY THUMBS UP!

Before I go enjoy this cute
little video by Dooodolls.

A million light years away,

A group of friendly monsters came to play,

Fun and friendly they were,

Human friends they sought for sure!
