I love books! Do I need to say it again? I LOVE BOOKS! It doesn’t matter what kind of book it is I’ll read it. Or maybe I should say I give it to mommy so that it can be read to me. When approached to review the Christmas Owl written by Angela Muse, how could I refuse. Not only was this book perfect for the holidays but it had my favorite bird on the cover. My obsession with owls is infinite.

Inspired by her own love of owls, author Angela Muse’s “The Christmas Owl” follows the adventures of a Barred Owl who becomes injured and must ask others for help. He promises to give back to those who have a generous and kind heart – and he is true to his word. Filled with beautiful illustrations, “The Christmas Owl” is a heartwarming story that helps families celebrate the season of giving. It also makes a perfect gift or stocking stuffer.

This book shows what it is like to be kind and generous to those less fortunate than you are. It has such a great Christmas message along with beautiful illustrations. The Owl fell out of his nest and couldn’t fly so he ended up asking four animals, the rabbit, the bat, the mouse and the duck for shelter and some of their food. Each animal at first didn’t want him to share their shelter or food but eventually did. Finally the Owl was strong enough to make his way back home. On Christmas Eve the Owl returned and left little gifts for his four new friends who helped him. What a lovely story!

The only thing which isn’t really a problem is that this is in a paperback edition. Mommy only allows me to read my board books alone so this one we read at bedtime together.

The Christmas Owl is Angela’s latest book. Angela was born into a military family, like me and my siblings, which meant that she had to get used to being the “new kid” in school every couple of years. It was hard for her to make new friends but she soon discovered she had a knack for writing. She currently self publishes her novels through Amazon’s independent publishing platform, CreateSpace (for print books) and Kindle Direct Publishing (for ebooks). Angela has written lots of other books for little ones like me including The Pig Princess and The Bee Bully which mommy intends to get for me and my brother Mikael. I think mommy is trying to say that I’m a little pig. You can check out all her other amazing books on her Amazon Publisher Page

In 2009, she wrote and self-published her first children’s book. Since then, she has published several additional children’s picture books – as well as her first young adult romance novel! – through Amazon’s independent publishing platforms, CreateSpace (for print books) and Kindle Direct Publishing (for e-books).

You can purchase the Christmas Owl online at Amazon both in print and for your Kindle.
