Tidy Books Bookcase Enhances Love of Reading Review

Disclaimer:  I was given the products in this post for the purpose of a review.
I was not paid in any way to write this review.
All opinions are my own.

If this is your first time visiting my website let me tell you. I LOVE BOOKS! My regular readers know that I love books. Books are my lifeline, well almost. I don't know what I would do without books in my life. Books take me to another place. I love when mommy read to me and our nightly regimen includes a bedtime story (or two) after my bath. Now mommy have been collecting books for me for quite some time now, actually before I was even born. When I came home from the hospital there were books waiting for me. Whenever mommy goes shopping there is usually a new book in the bag that comes home for me. I'm also subscribed to quite a few baby/toddler subscription boxes and I also receive books from them as well. Granted to  say, my book collection is constantly growing. Well with an extensive book collection there has to be somewhere to store them. That's where Tidy Books comes in.

Before Tidy Books came into my life my books were stored in a cubicle and although it looked nice it was difficult at times to get them out. Mommy knew what they were but at times I didn't. I would end up taking them all out until I could figure out which one I wanted to read. That sometimes led to me making a mess and mommy doesn't like messes.

As if that wasn't bad enough I also had books in a fabric storage drawer because of the amount of books I had. Even that was difficult to get to as well. Yes it was neatly stored away in a corner but I didn't want it in a corner. I wanted it easily accessible! Boy was I happy when Tidy Books decided to send me their Kids Bookcase in a lovely white color. If White is not your thing they're also available in Natural, Pink and Blue.

These award winning Tidy Books kid's Bookcase and kids bookshelves makes books completely accessible; even the smallest child finds it easy to see and choose their books independently, because kids do judge a book by its cover! These slimline and stylish kid's bookcases are a practical storage system that allows a large number of kid's books to be displayed facing outwards.

$179.99 - Recommended age: 3y+
Now daddy is the one who usually puts together everything. Mommy and I went to sleep one night and woke up one morning with our bookcase already set up. Mommy was a little upset because daddy didn't let her take photos of the parts that came in the box before it was done. Daddy said he was sorry but to let you my readers know that the set up was very easy to do and took him about 30 minutes. It does have a very slim profile so doesn't take up a lot of space in my room. I was still able to fit my play table and bookcase together in the same place with no problem at all. Tidy Books recommends leaning the bookcase against the wall and leaving a 5cm space at the bottom. You then use the included wall fasteners and screws to attach the bookcase to your wall. Easy peasy as mommy would say.

Now the fact that this attaches to the wall gives mommy and daddy real piece of mind. I'm a toddler and I love climbing on everything. There are pictures floating around of me climbing on top of my dresser. Now mommy doesn't fear me climbing on this and it tipping over with me because of the fact that it is secured safely in the wall. Besides the slimline profile the Tidy Books Bookcase can also hold up to 85 books, that is quite a lot of books which means I can keep on collecting my books.

It was nice having my bookcase all ready for me. I can now find my books a lot easier. Do you know how much easier it is to actually grab a book by just looking at it? Yes us little ones do choose books by their cover and not by their spine. Tidy Books knew that!  Tidy Books Bookcase comes with 4 shelves that are all sized differently. After all all books aren't the same size. Another of the great thing that I loved about my Tidy Books Bookcase is that it comes with the alphabet listed on each shelf. They're all raised and I not only get to learn them but I also get to learn the colors as well. What a great learning tool. Since I received my Tidy Books Bookcase my love of reading has increased tenfold. I no longer need mommy's help in choosing my books.

I am really in love with Tidy Books Bookcase. My books are not only more organized but it does make my room look so much better as well. No more books in the corner for me. Now I can use my fabric storage drawer for something totally different.

  1. I would love to win this bookshelf for my daughter!! I took a look around the website, and another product I would love to have for Serenity is the wall mounted shelf, to use as an off-the-floor night stand shelf. I also really like the family organizer in red, though I'm not sure where I'd put it in my house...

  10. I would love the Kids book storage Natural Lowercase. I thought about the pink or blue ones, but since the kids share a room and a bunch of books, I went gender neutral there. They have these book shelves at Scarlet's school and the kids are always so good about putting the books back. Our room is a big mess of books!

  24. I love books too! Reading is a super fantastic way to take a break from all the chaos of real life, find some adventure and have a blast. My favorite part is ... when you read? You learn, without even knowing you're learning! Pretty cool huh? I'd like to thank you and your Mommy for offering this to us all - and your Daddy too for building it so fast! ;)

I really love the Bunk Bed Buddy in Natural. It's perfect for my sons' room. One of them has Autism (like your big brother) and almost always leaves his little tablet and favorite book laying around where his baby sister can get at it. I know you'd never ruin your brothers stuff on purpose right? My baby girl does. Poor kid has more than a few cracks in his tablet. It's not fun for anyone! If my son had a cool spot to keep his tablet away from baby sister? All would be right with the world!

  28. I'm really digging http://www.tidy-books.com/catalog/product/view/id/31/s/family-organizer/category/7/?colour=Natural. My oldest has graduated high school and is in college, my middle one is in 11th grade, my youngest is in kindergarten. You'd think the older 2 would be more organized, ha! The family organizer would be awesome!
My youngest is just learning to read. She has a ton of books! I swear they are everywhere! This bookcase is amazing! Half the time we can't find the book she wants to read. I think this would help her enjoy books and reading more, having her own special place to keep her favorite books.
