Liz and Roo Baby Bedding #Review

Disclaimer:  I was given the products in this post for the purpose of a review.

All opinions are my own.

I like quality products. I don't like things that most people have. I like to stand out from the crowd and that includes even my toddler bedding. When approached by the makers of Liz and Roo with an invitation to review their baby collection bedding, mommy first had to take a look. After all we had our very own go to designers. Mommy doesn't like the pretty cartoon characters and that's one of the reason you may never see my bed with a pattern from Disney or Nickelodeon. Our favorites include Pottery Barn Kids, Baby Doll and Jojo Designs. Not necessarily in that order. What mommy found when she visited Liz and Roo was bedding that was on par with our favorites that we loved. With that in mind mommy wanted to introduce them to you. After all why keep something so good to ourselves.

When shopping for baby bedding for your little one everyone wants the best. With the standards of crib beddings changing, Liz and Roo brings to you the bumperless crib bedding. I can say that bumperless is definitely the way to go when choosing a bedding set for your little one. Sure it looks nice to have a bumper pad in your crib, but there are many dangers with one in as well. According to the AAP, there is no evidence that crib bumpers protect against injury, but they do carry a potential risk of suffocation, strangulation, or entrapment because infants lack the motor skills or strength to turn their heads should they roll into something that obstructs their breathing. Baby's head can be caught between the mattress and the bumper. This is one that I did that made mommy decide to get me a toddler bed at 12 months. I would climb on the bumper and make my way out of the crib. It was very easy to do and if I can do so can your little ones too. For those who would still prefer the traditional bumper bedding, that's also available for you as well.

Here's a bit about Liz and Roo Fine Baby Bedding:

Liz and Roo Fine Baby Bedding is a division of American Made Dorm & Home, whose passion is the creation of quality, sophisticated bedding and accessories made in the USA.

$Prices Vary -  Recommended age: 0+

Now it's not very often you find quality bedding or anything of quality made in the USA. Most of our products are made in China or somewhere else where cheap labor can be found. We love the fact that Liz and Roo Fine Baby Bedding has decided to keep the manufacturing of their products right here in the USA. Take comfort in the fact that when you buy a Liz and Roo quality bedding product, you're buying a Made in the USA Certified product.

We received the Liz and Roo 4 piece Gray Chevron Baby Bedding (RV $249.99). This 4 piece "bumperless" set includes a rail cover, a 260TC cotton percale crib sheet, crib skirt and a minky blanket. My toddler bed isn't the standard toddler bed. Mommy bought it at Pottery Barn Kids because it had the rails attached and drawers. Mommy seemed to think that I needed the security and more drawer space in my room. Since it was set up this way mommy decided not to use the crib skirt but it would have looked beautiful!

Now this is one of the things that mommy really loved about my new crib set. Check out the sheet! Most sheets only have elastics at the top and bottom of the sheet. This had it all around made it so much easier to make my bed. My sheet also stayed on a lot better as well. There is no way that is is coming off! Mommy did wish that the set came with another color but white but additional sheets are available if you want to change the look. The sheet is really thick and you can feel the quality. Exceptional!

The Minky Blanket that is included in the Baby Bedding measures 41"x 31" and is reversible. You just have to touch the bottom of this or the top which ever you prefer. The minky feel is absolutely to die for. I love wrapping up in my blanket and since it's not all cotton it keeps me warm. It's like wrapping yourself in fur.

The Baby Rail Cover is 20" long and fits all standard cribs. It also comes with button hole openings and ties. Since I didn't have a crib any longer mommy decided to do something rather creative with the baby rail cover. Since my bed had rails and built in headboard, mommy decided to put the rail cover over the headboard and across the rails. It makes it so that I can lay back in comfort. Check out the picture of my finished bed!

Now don't think that Liz and Roo is only about baby bedding. No, no, no! They also have a toddler to teen bedding collection. They fit from twin beds all the way to King size beds and the designs are absolutely divine. I can't wait until I'm able to go to a big kids bed and get a set for my bed. Liz and Roo Fine Bedding definitely gets my Two Tiny Thumbs Up! No doubt about it.

  1. I am loving the pattern and the style of this bedding. It is unlike most kid/baby/toddler beddings but I think it looks amazing. It makes me think about how I would want to make our baby room look in some months down the road for sure.

    1. Yeah mommy doesn't like those character beddings at all. She thinks it looks "trashy". Those are her words so none for me, no matter how much I want Minnie Mouse. ♥ Madison

  8. I have a cousin who loves the character stuff so I usually get them for her. When I do have kids I would prefer not to have them. The one you choose is something I would have chosen for myself as well. I like that its unisex so both boys and girls can use it. It's kinda expensive though so not sure if I would be able to afford it. :)
