Waterbabies: Giggly Wiggly Review

Disclaimer:  I was given the products in this post for the purpose of a review.
I was not paid in any way to write this review.
All opinions are my own.

I recently received a doll from Playmates Toys called Waterbabies. Before I show my new doll let me tell you a bit Playmates Waterbabies.
Playmates Toys is delighted to introduce its Waterbabies® brand to a new generation of little girls. Our Waterbabies dolls feel soft and cuddly, like real babies, when filled with warm water. The new Wee Waterbabies dolls come pre-filled for soft, squeezable cuddling.
Waterbabies are for every little girl who wants to love and nurture a special doll.
Now on to my review! I was offered my choice of Waterbabies and decided to choose Giggly Wiggly because I loved the fact that she giggled. There's a Caucasian and an African American version. I consider myself Caribbean American so I got the African American version because she looks more like me. Was I right?

The first thing I said when I saw my Waterbaby was "my beebee". I grabbed the box and walked around with it practically begging mommy to open it with my eyes. Mommy usually never listens to me but I have a trick. I started trying to rip the box open.  That worked like a charm. First mommy had to take photos because if she didn't you wouldn't get to see my Waterbaby in all it's glory.

My Giggly Wiggly is made of vinyl and is 13" tall, the perfect size for little toddlers like me. Just a push on her tummy makes her giggle but it's more of a squeaky giggle than a real giggle. Almost like my rubber ducky but much cuter sounding.  She comes in this adorable pink and white polka dot sunsuit and also a matching headband with a fabric flower. She also comes with her baby bottle and a pacifier. It also comes with a funnel and I'll explain why later.

Here is a close up look of my Waterbabies Giggly Wiggly. Do you see how beautiful she looks?  She has the most beautiful medium brown skin and painted on eyes. Yes her eyes stay open. They do not close. Her mouth is open because that pacifier and bottle that she came with can be used. When you push on her tummy with her pacifier or bottle in her mouth, she makes this sucking noise and looks like she's using her pacifier and bottle.

Now there's a reason why these dolls are called Waterbabies. Remember that funnel that I showed and talked about in that photo above. Well she can be filled with water making her feel a lot more real. She has a plug in the back and it is really easy to do. She feels a lot better when she has warm water inside. Do not use hot water!

Mommy couldn't resist filming this quick video of me playing with my Giggly Wiggly. I hope you enjoy it.

Waterbabies makes the perfect gift for your little ones.  Be sure to check out Playmates Waterbabies Website and check out the other Waterbabies that are available. I know they will love her as much as I do. 1. Look at that cute little doll, and you are both in pink. How cute you look feeding your new baby. So cute that you push on her tummy and she giggles. This would make the perfect gift for both my Granddaughters.

  2. Im sure my girl would love this cute baby doll. The fact that it giggles is great! I will definitely look for this at ToysRUs. Another one in my girl's christmas list!:)

  3. That doll looks so cute!! I need to get a couple for my girls.. I think they would flip!

  4. That is such a neat idea! Who'd want a cold baby doll when you can have a warm one?! :D

  5. What a great idea - I remember having a doll as a child than when you feed it it did a poop in its nappy and I thought that's what this was going to be for a minute - much nicer that it just warms it :) x

  6. Have I mentioned how much I love your new layout? The colors, the patterns, the graphics, it's beautiful!

  7. Oh, I'm sure my daughter would love one of these, and I bet my son would want his own too!

  8. I love the video of Madison and her doll! Makes me want to have a girl!

  9. That is such an adorable baby doll! My daughter would never let her down! She's too cute!

  10. My daughter had a water baby when she was little and loved it!!

  11. What a cute doll. That is quite unique filling it with warm water. I bet that feels great to the little one playing with the doll. Very soothing.

  12. What a cute baby doll. This is so fun.

  13. That is so cute! I've never seen a doll like that before! Of course I was a tom boy and both my kids are boys! Lol. That's really neat and cute though! Looks like something my niece may enjoy in a few years!

  14. Very cute doll! It's a great doll for make up stories and imagining things.

  15. I can't believe I've never heard of these ... adorable!!

  16. I never heard of these before but it's such a great idea!

  17. There is something about these that is just so endearing. My daughter had two of them and while she gave away all the rest of her dolls, she kept these because they were special to her.

  18. What a cute idea! I love that you add water to the back to make it feel more real. So adorable :)

  19. She's a beautiful baby for a beautiful little lady! :) The water aspect is intriguing - I kinda want to hold one now and see how real it feels!

  20. a beautiful doll - when our daughter was 2 we got her a doll that was "indian" - she's half Indian - I think culture and skin tone are important for kiddos to "relate to' with their dolls

  21. I remember those. She likes that baby. My grand daughter has several babies and she loves dolls. I had forgotten these.

  22. Wow, she really looks like a real baby. Playing with dolls like this one is great for small children because it shows them how to care for others and it's part of pretend play. I loved dolls when I was little.

  23. That is a lovely doll and so life like. Unfortunately my girls are past the age where they would play with this, but I feel this would make a great gift.
