October 2013 Stork Stack Toddler Box Review

It’s once again time for our monthly review of our Stork Stack Toddler Box. For those who don’t know about Stork Stack,  its a monthly subscription box service that caters to babies from the third trimester to toddlers up to age 3. This is my 20 month old toddler box. If you’re interested in finding out what we got in our September box you can check it out here.

The theme for this month was “Fun With Five Senses!”. Once again Stork Stack decided to send a digital card via email but mommy decided to wait until our box came to see what came inside without going to the digital card.  Our digital card read:

With the turn of each season, we are confronted with the familiar sounds, sights and smells each one has to offer. As fall approaches we anticipate the sound of leaves crunching beneath our feet, Halloween and harvest decorations on our neighbors’ doorsteps, and the taste and smell of fresh baked apple pies and pumpkin spice. The October Stack is a celebration of these experiences, which is why we’re having Fun with 5 Senses! You and your little one will have plenty of new, bright colors and designs from P’Kolino to SEE and with which to play, as well as a new pal from North American Bear to FEEL and cuddle. Get ready to experience new flavors when you TASTE the yummy treats from LARABAR and My Super Foods for you and your little one. Enjoy the pleasant SMELL of Weleda’s Weather Protection Cream, which will leave your little one’s skin feeling safe and wonderful. We can’t wait to HEAR how the furry friends, tasty treats, and exciting toys will lead to plenty of conversation and laughter in your home this fall.

This month’s products sounded too good to be true and I was really excited to see what was inside my box. I bet you can’t wait either.

P’Kolino Puzzler Stacker Mini – $17.00

Wooden Stacker with Playful Benefits! Fine-tune motor skills, learn color and size recognition, and enhance spatial logic by interlocking any one puzzle piece to any other; in any order. There is no wrong answer!

I love anything that I have to build or make. I’m going to have so much fun with this puzzle. This is also pretty heavy and solid so be careful if your little one decides to throw this.

North American Bear: Silly Old Rabbit – $12.00

Soft velour with contrasting cotton patches, embroidered facial features, and the irresistible charm of a well-loved first friend for boys and girls.

I love this bunny rabbit. Mommy thought it was a bear when she first saw it. Mommy is silly like this rabbit. He is really soft and I had fun trying to put my shoes on him. He will be sleeping on my bed with me at nights.

Weleda: Calendula Weather Protection Cream  – $12.00

Calendula Weather Protection Cream is made to shield babies’ facial skin and lips from the harsh cold and wind during winter months. With pure beeswax and gentle lanolin, it blends in easily and is ideal for babies, children and adults who have sensitive skin. Completely water-free and long-lasting, it’s perfect for use during all types of wintertime outdoor activities and also suitable for skin that easily becomes stressed or red when exposed to cold and wind. Formulated with sweet almond oil and Biodynamic® calendula flower extract, this rich cream absorbs smoothly into delicate skin, providing maximum comfort and protection without impairing the skin’s important natural functions.

We recently found out all the great uses of Calendula and we were super excited to get this. I have very sensitive skin and my skin gets dry at times so this will be heading into my diaper bag.

My Super Foods Company: MySuperSnack (soft) Granola Bites – $2.35

MySuperSnack (soft) Granola Bites are a nutrient dense, delicious, on-the-go snack for kids. Made with all natural, non GMO ingredients, MySuperSnacks nourish growing bodies and minds with omega 3’s, whole grains and real super fruits. Available in a resealable, BPA-free pouch, all three flavors (Apple Raisin, Blueberry Banana Acai and Chocolate Chip) are perfect for lunch boxes, soccer games and snack time.

I’ve never heard of this company before but I loved that the super snack contained no additives or preservatives and is made with real fruit. I actually started eating this as soon as mommy was done filming the video and I must say that it tasted great.

LARABAR – $0.66

At LÄRABAR®, we believe that the foundation of a sound mind, body and spirit is derived from what you eat. And what you eat is most delicious and satisfying when it’s in a whole, natural state. LÄRABAR® is a delicious blend of unsweetened fruits, nuts and spices. Made from whole food, each flavor contains no more than nine ingredients. Pure and simple, just as nature intended.

This is gluten, diary, soy free and kosher but it does contain nuts so if you’re allergic to nuts then you might want to stay away from the blueberry muffin. Not sure if all their other products contain nuts as well but this one does. We received about 1/2 of a full bar so this was a very small. After 3 bites it was done. Did I like it? I sure did!

Our October Stork Stack Box was another hit with us. We really loved our mini stacker from Pkolino and the snacks were delicious as well. We got a toy but didn’t get a book this time. I guess its either one or the other with Stork Stack and I would prefer less foods or at least full sized bars unlike the Larabar.

The grand total for our box this month was $44.01. A very great deal indeed. The monthly subscription for your Stork Stack box is $27.99/month but if you want to get your own Stork Stack box you can use my link to get $10 off your first box. If the link doesn’t work you can use the following discount code A241300F.

This is our first video unboxing. Take a look.
