A High Chair That Lasts Through Adulthood

Our parents spend hundreds of dollars buying nursery items that only last a few months and have to given or thrown away by the time we're three. We also know that high chairs can be useful when trying to feed your baby their first solid but they can also be an expensive purchase. How ingenious that you now never have to get rid of that high chair but can keep it through adulthood.

Stokke (sto-kay) came up with the perfect high chair called the Stokke Tripp Trapp. It's a little pricey but hey you'll have it for a lifetime. It's totally adjustable and can be used from about 6 months (or earlier if your baby is able to sit unsupported) to adulthood and can hold the weight of an adult up to 300lbs.. but we all know I'm not going to be that big.

It does come with a 5 point safety harness but you can also buy a Tripp Trapp Baby Set which provides additional support and stability. The Tripp Trapp can be brought directly to the table enabling baby to enjoy the family meal with family and thus encourage baby to interact more with the family.

The Tripp Trapp is made of beechwood instead of plastic and is very easy to clean. I should say that it does not take up a lot of room either.

My chair is fully adjustable and so far mommy has only had to adjust my foot rest once because I've gotten a little taller. They do come in a variety of colors and mommy and I chose purple because I love that color.

We definitely recommend buying a Tripp Trapp for your baby. Your baby would thank you for it as soon as she can speak. The Stokke Tripp Trapp can also be purchased online at BabiesR'Us and Target.

The Stokke Tripp Trapp Chair is backed by a limited seven-year warranty on wooden parts.

  1. I really like this chair! It's an investment that's worthwhile if it's structure truly does last as long as it says. Not to mention, it's stylish and modern.
